Wall Street Raider
A downloadable game for Windows
Wall Street Raider is a highly sophisticated and realistic investment and corporate high finance simulation, created by a Harvard lawyer / CPA / Economist in 1986 as a DOS game and since 2001 for Windows, under constant development and refinement for nearly 40 years. Creates a financial universe of 1590 corporations in 71 industry groups in which players (billionaires to start) can take over corporations and build financial empires. In addition to stocks, players can trade or invest in govt. and corporate bonds (including convertibles), options, commodity and stock index futures, physical commodities (gold, crude, etc.) ETFs, Bitcoin and Ethereum and crypto futures. Engage in complex corporate transactions including mergers, liquidations, LBOs, greenmail, IPO's, private offerings, and spin-offs of subs, all technically accurate and based on U.S. laws. Players are occasionally offered difficult ethical choices, and may cheat by engaging in risky insider trading. Can file antitrust suits against overly dominant competitors, or be sued if your companies dominate an industry. Use numerous strategies to try to increase the earnings and stock prices of companies you control. Many long-time players of WSR tell us have used what they learned to become Wall Street traders and hedge fund operators, as the sim is highly educational, while addictive.
This is a free Classic Version of Wall Street Raider. A complete remastering of the user interface is currently in process, and the new version 10.0 should be available on Steam by this summer! Follow deveopment of 10.0 on Steam here:
